Hello. I’m Tanya Ferrell. I’m a senior at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In mid-June 2008, I’ll be receiving my Bachelors in Advertising. I’ve had a total of 4 internships at three great companies. My last internship was in the Interactive Services Department at Kolbrener and ended at the end of December 2007.
I’ve been interested in online media for a very long time. I started learning and working in online marketing/SEO in September 2007, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it.
You’ll probably see a lot of recurring themes in my blog. I write about email marketing a lot…because it’s completely undervalued and often done poorly, new media and old media…because the two should be working with each other instead of against, and social media…because it’s plain ol’ fun.
I’m currently working part-time at Kolbrener as an Assistant Internet Marketer and The Savvy Group as a Media Researcher. On the weekends I fold clothes and help customers at Rue21.
It’s a good life.
